Come join us on Sunday nights at 5:00 and Wednesday nights at 6:00PM for our regular youth meetings. There are many other activities planned for the Winter of 2012 so keep coming back or visit us at Facebook (Old Fort First Baptist Church Youth) to see what's happening with the youth at FBC of Old Fort. Upcoming Events: February 25 at 6 PM - Valentine's Banquet in Fellowship Hall March 10 at 7 PM - Casting Crown concert in Charlotte, NC July 11-15, 2012 - Centrifuge at Ridgecrest. The Camp Pastor will be Landon Dowden and the Worship Leaders will be Rush of Fools. The deadline for deposits is January 29 in order to secure a place at camp this year. That week is sold out and we were the last to get in. If we don't have the deposits by the deadline, we could easily lose our place on the list. The deposit is $50 per youth. The total cost for each youth for camp is $140. The church will incur all other expenses for the trip. Follow this link for the schedule.

Some of our youth were a part of the Mission Team that went to Reading, PA. This video is an overview of the trip. Pennsylvania Mission Trip 2011 from Duane Caldwell on Vimeo. A group from FBC of Old Fort, NC took a mission trip to Reading, PA to share the gospel with children in a government public housing community of about 600 families. We saw at least 17 come to Christ. Our team members were Duane Caldwell, Susan Hoyle, Nick Blackwelder, Nathan Smith, Cody Andrews, Kathryn Hoyle, Tony Lanning, Griffin Evans, and Scott Gaffigan.

Centrifuge 2011 for FBC Old Fort from Duane Caldwell on Vimeo. This video is of the youth of FBC of Old Fort at Centrifuge held at the Ridgecrest Conference Center the week of June 20-25, 2011. Distribution for the Lunch Bunch Program which makes sure the children of McDowell County have breakfast and lunch every day began on June 12 and ended August 7. Thank you youth, adults, and children for all your hard work in this ministry. We currently have our Youth Council and Lead Teams planning our youth events. The Lead Teams and Youth Council meet together on the 2nd Sunday of every month to plan activities for our youth. If you would like to participate let the Pastor know.
